Why do people live here? Brookstone is a distinctive gated community located in the heart of St. Tammany Parish. It boasts tranquil green surroundings with thousands of beautiful trees and lush landscaping. This neighborhood is very conveniently located on the border between
the cities of Covington and Mandeville, only a few minutes from the Causeway bridge, making it a popular choice amongst commuters. The great location of this neighborhood means that it has all of the conveniences of the city just around the corner
while maintaining its characteristic small-town feel.
What's the neighborhood like? Brookstone Subdivision consists of approximately 60 one-acre lots with homes being built in three phases. Most of the homes you might expect to find for sale in Brookstone have between 3,500 and 4,000 square feet of living space. They generally offer
upwards of 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The homes built in Brookstone typically are constructed in a French country or traditional architectural style. Many homes are generously appointed with luxurious amenities such as a pool/jacuzzi, irrigation
system, surround sound, wet bar, bonus room, workout room and/or energy efficient features.
What's going on near Brookstone? Residents of Brookstone have plenty to do nearby. Fantastic dining options are located just around the corner, including the Covington location of Copeland's of New Orleans and upscale The Dakota restaurant. Catch dinner and a show at the popular Movie Tavern, where servers bring food and drinks straight to your theater
seat–perfect for a date night or a family night out! Over the weekend, drive over to the Bogue Falaya Wayside Park complete with a lovely pavilion and playground
near a scenic creek. This park also hosts the Youth Service Bureau's Annual Chef Soirée, the Northshore's biggest culinary showcase. The 2015
showcase included a parade, a fireworks display, and unlimited food and drink samples from more than 85 restaurants and beverage providers. Brookstone homeowners also are located only a short drive from the Covington Trailhead of the Tammany Trace, a 31-mile paved bike trail that connects the main cities of St. Tammany Parish. The Trailhead is modeled like an old-fashioned train station and hosts the Covington Farmers Market on Wednesdays, as well as the monthly Covington Art Market, cosponsored by the St. Tammany Art Association.
The Trailhead also presents the popular Rockin' the Rails free concert series during the spring and autumn months.
