Soul music lovers of Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Gospel, get ready for the New Orleans Soul Fest to be held on March 3-4, 2017 at the Audubon Zoo! This annual festival celebrates African American music, food and crafts. Additional attractions include health screenings and a global playground for children. The first Soul Fest was held in the early 2000’s and since then has featured artists such as Hot 8, Rebirth Brass Bands and gospel singer Yolanda Adams. You will also enjoy delicious, authentic Creole and soul food featuring Jamaican chicken with vegetables, smothered pork chops with greens, hot sausage po-boys and more.
