Come enjoy a wonderful cruise on the luxurious paddlewheeler Creole Queen. Although the Creole Queen is designed to authenticate a 19th century paddlewheeler, it contains all the modern day amenities you could hope for, including stereo music and fantastic sound systems. It can accommodate up to 800 passengers and is wheelchair accessible. The Creole Queen offers 2 daily excursions: First is the The Historical River Cruise which features a narrated tour of areas along the Mississippi River such as the Port of New Orleans and the French Quarter that highlight the history of the city. Passengers disembark at the Chalmette Battlefield for an hour long guided tour by the the National Park Rangers. This Historical River Cruise is offered twice daily, morning and afternoon. See the following link for details on times and other relevant information: The other daily excursion is The Mississippi River Dinner Jazz Cruise, a nightly cruise offering an elegant dinner and cash bar while listening to jazz music by Sullivan Dabney, Jr. and the Muzik Jazz Band.
