The New Orleans Botanical Garden in New Orleans City Park is a must see for all nature lovers. When you visit, you will be surrounded by the largest collection of mature live oak trees in the world and over 2,000 varieties of plants. Lovely fountains are located throughout the gardens. The Conservatory features a simulated tropical rain forest with hanging vines, a waterfall and a pond. You will also see geckos, frogs and snakes. The exhibit, the “New Orleans Historic Train Garden”, is a historic replica of streetcars and freight trains that travel through areas modeled after real neighborhoods such as the Marigny/Bywater, Uptown and the Garden District. During the ride, jazz music is playing in the background. For more information on the Botanical Garden in New Orleans City Park and other features in the Park, please visit:
