New Orleans Oyster Fest June 3 And 4

Oyster lovers set your calendar for the New Orleans Oyster Festival  June 3-4 to be held at Woldenberg Park, located next to the Aquarium and the Entergy Giant Screen Theater.  Admission is free and open to the public. The festival is sponsored by the New Orleans Oyster Festival whose mission is to educate the country about the benefits of the Louisiana gulf oyster and to use the festival’s proceeds to help raise funds for coastal restoration. Please come enjoy some special oyster dishes from restaurants such as Acme Oyster House, Oceana Restaurant, Café Reconcile, Drago’s Restaurant and many more. In addition to the delicious food, there will be live music featuring the Mike Doussan Band, Flow Tribe, Bag of Donuts and more. Also on hand will be cooking demonstrations and an oyster shucking contest sponsored by P&J Oyster Co.at 1 PM on Saturday.
